Return ferry times to Cangas de Morrazo from the Cíes Islands depend on the season and may change. During your booking process, you will have access to the timetable. However, we will verify the ideal departure time based on your selection.

Returning on a Different Day

If you wish to return to Cangas de Morrazo on a different date, please inform us when making your reservation. If you plan to camp on the islands, prior authorization from the Xunta de Galicia is required.

Guided Tours During Low Season

In the low season (from October 1 to May 14), access to the Cíes Islands comes with a 1-hour guided tour. This requirement stems from the prohibition of independent visits during this period. The guide will accompany you during your ferry ride from the departure point, and upon your arrival at the dock, will showcase the highlights of the islands. Enrich your understanding of this exquisite Galician archipelago through interesting insights into its history, flora, and fauna during the guided walks.

This guided experience is not available during the 10 days of Easter Week (from the Friday before Easter Sunday through Easter Sunday), as this time frame is recognized as peak season.

Authorization from the Xunta de Galicia

During the peak season (May 15 - September 30 and Easter week), you must possess your own authorization from the Xunta de Galicia to enter the Cíes Islands. Once you've made your reservation, we will email this authorization to you as soon as possible. For the remainder of the year, this will be provided by your guide on the day of the tour.

Regulations for Campers

If you opt to camp on the Cíes Islands, the campsite is responsible for managing the authorization request, and it must also handle any necessary cancellations. If the campsite does not cancel the authorization, the ferry operator cannot process refunds for your tickets.

This means that to cancel your trip to the Cíes Islands, you must first reach out to your campsite. Once they confirm the authorization has been canceled, you can then inform the ferry company (within the designated refund timeframe) to cancel your tickets.

Additionally, once an authorization is linked to a specific ferry operator, it cannot be transferred to another. Therefore, should you choose to withdraw your reservation with this operator, you will also need to cancel your authorization and request a new one.
