Montecrestese Hiking and Wine Tasting Tour

The day begins at 8:20 am when we gather at the Collegiate Church of San Vittore. From there, we will embark on a bus journey, leaving Cannobio to head towards Montecrestese, which will take approximately 1 hour.

Upon our arrival, we will commence a trekking route lasting 3 hours and 30 minutes. This hike will provide an opportunity to connect with the peacefulness of the natural environment surrounding Montecrestese.

During the trek, you will admire the breathtaking views of the Ossola Valley and stroll along the banks of the River Toce. We will also encounter megalithic structures that will take us back in time. The significance of these ancient ruins will be revealed, highlighting their historical roles as worship sites, burial grounds, and remnants of former villages.

After completing the hiking route and appreciating the facades of quaint rural churches, we will arrive at a wine cellar. Here, you will indulge in a wine tasting experience featuring 3 varieties of local red and white wines, alongside regional cheeses, sausages, and bread.

Following the tasting, we will return to our bus and conclude the tour by 5 pm, arriving back at our starting location.
