Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll start our guided tour at the Basilica Paleocristiana dell’Annunziata, where an archaeologist will lead you through the main sites of the Paestum Archaeological Park.
The ruins in Paestum have preserved the legacy of the city of Magna Graecia. Our tour will include views of the temples of Neptune and Hera, notable for their Dorian columns.
Next, we will discover other ruins, including the amphitheatre and the Temple of Athens, also featuring Dorian architecture. As we examine the columns, we'll learn about the myths and legends associated with this sacred site.
We'll also visit the Paestum Archaeological Museum to view additional remnants from the Ancient Greek city. Notably, the exhibition includes the swimmer's tomb. The identity of this individual will be revealed during the tour!
After a 2-hour guided tour, we will conclude, and you'll have the option to continue exploring the archaeological museum.
