At the time indicated, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Caracas to start this day trip to Colonia Tovar. The town, located 1,800 metres (5,900 feet) above sea level, was founded in 1843 by immigrants from the Grand Duchy of Baden before the formation of the Republic of Germany.
