Uncover how one of the most famous gins in Spain is made on a tour of the Puerto de Indias Distillery in Carmona!

Tour Options

When booking your visit to the Puerto de Indias distillery you can choose between two types of experiences. In both cases, we'll meet at the indicated time at the factory's main entrance.

Standard Tour (1.5 hours)

Puerto de Indias is one of the oldest and most traditional distilleries in Andalusia. During the tour, we'll explore the factory's foundations, which are supported by a subterranean water spring from Roman times. We will learn about distillation in copper stills, using both traditional and modern techniques.

Next, we will visit the distillation room where the Puerto de Indias gins are produced and an exhibition room with stills dating back to 1880. This visit will enhance our understanding of the production process from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

After an hour of discoveries, we will conclude the tour with a gin tasting. You will have 30 minutes to sample three different gin varieties, paired with chips or nuts.

Premium Tour (2 hours)

The first hour will be a sensory experience through various showrooms. We will also explore the gardens of Finca Brenes, home to the Puerto de Indias distillery, featuring fruit trees essential for gin production.

We will continue underground to the Roman water mine. The second half of the tour involves an organoleptic tasting experience focusing on all five senses with a total of five gins in an exclusive room.

At the end, you will select your favorite gin, which the bartender will use in the Perfect Serve cocktail ritual. Enjoy your drink in the exclusive tasting room or in the gardens, concluding the tour on a high note.
