Puerto de Indias Distillery Tour

Uncover how one of the famous gins in Spain is made on a tour of the Puerto de Indias Distillery in Carmona. See a different side of Andalusia.

Tour Options

When booking your visit to the Puerto de Indias distillery, you can choose between two types of experiences. In both cases, we'll meet at the indicated time at the factory's main entrance.

Standard Tour (1.5 hours)

Puerto de Indias is one of the oldest and most traditional distilleries in Andalusia. During the tour, we'll explore the factory's foundations, sustained by a subterranean water spring from Roman times. We'll learn about the process of making distillates in copper stills that use traditional and avant-garde techniques.

Next, we'll visit the distillation room where Puerto de Indias gins are currently made and enter an exhibition room with stills dating back to 1880. These visual aids will enhance our understanding of the manufacturing process from the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Finally, after an hour of discoveries, we'll finish the tour with a gin tasting. You will have 30 minutes in the tasting room to savor 3 different gin varieties, paired with chips or nuts.

Premium Tour (2 hours)

This tour dedicates the first hour to a sensory experience in different showrooms followed by a stroll through the gardens of Finca Brenes, where we see fruit trees essential for gin production.

To conclude the first half of the tour, we'll explore the Roman water mine under the distillery.

The second half includes an organoleptic tasting in an exclusive room, offering a total of five gins. After the tasting, you'll select your favorite, and the bartender will create a cocktail using it in the Perfect Serve ritual. Enjoy your drink in the exclusive tasting room or in the gardens, providing a fitting end to the visit.
