Travel back in time to the 2nd century BC and discover the ancient Roman Carmo, one of the most important urban centres in Hispania Baetica.

Tour of Roman Carmona

We'll meet at the entrance to the Roman necropolis of Carmona for a two-hour tour focused on the city's Roman heritage.

The tour begins at the Archaeological Site of Carmona, which features two significant Roman structures: the necropolis and the amphitheatre.

We will first explore the necropolis, noted for being one of the best-preserved funerary complexes in Spain. Participants will learn about Roman burial customs and observe the tombs carved into the rock.

Next to the necropolis, alongside the Via Augusta, is the Roman amphitheatre, where gladiator contests and other events were once held.
