Want to get to know the city of the most famous Colombian Carnival? Discover the charm of Barranquilla on this excursion from Cartagena!

Description

At the designated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Cartagena and head to Barranquilla, known as the "Golden Gate." During the 2-hour journey, you'll enjoy views of the emblematic Sombrero Volteado. Our tour begins at Plaza del Puerto de Colombia, followed by a visit to the Puerto Colombia Lighthouse and the Ventana de los Sueños, which showcases captivating landscapes and local culture.

Next, we'll visit Salgar Castle for impressive sea views, followed by Laguna de los Cisnes and Ciénaga de Mallorquín. Don't miss the famous Barranquilla letters for memorable photos. We'll continue along Vía 40, the vibrant avenue associated with the carnival, and stroll down the Malecón del Río Magdalena, where modernity meets tradition.

Here, we will discover monuments dedicated to local icons, then proceed to Barrio Abajo, known for its folklore. We'll visit Casa del Carnaval to learn about festive traditions and then stop at Romelio Martínez Castle and La Troja, popular with salsa lovers. For lunch, we’ll enjoy typical Currambera food in either Barrio Abajo or Barrio El Prado, depending on availability. Afterward, we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral and Barrio El Prado, ending the tour with a sunset view from the Centro Comercial Muelle 1888 rooftop.

Finally, we will return to Cartagena after a total of 11.5 hours.
