With this ticket, you'll be immersed in Carthago Nova's Roman past while observing archaeological pieces found in and around the Roman Theatre of Cartagena. The museum integrates various ancient buildings like the Riquelme Palace and the church of Santa Maria, from the medieval period. The visit starts in the Pascual Riquelme Palace, detailing the discovery and excavation of the theater through an underground corridor. A room displays emblematic objects from the excavations, including jewellery, statues, vessels, and three aras dedicated to the Capitoline Triad.

Your visit culminates at the Roman Theatre of Cartagena, one of the largest in Spain, featuring the stage front, orchestra, and cavea, where citizens were seated based on social class. The theatre accommodated 7000 people and was utilized until the 2nd century. The archaeological excavations in the 90's and the design by architect Rafael Moneo have made this tour possible.

The Roman Theatre Museum operates at the following times:

From May 1 to September 30 and Easter: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 8 pm; Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.From October 1 to April 30: Tuesday to Saturday from 10 am to 6 pm; Sundays from 10 am to 2 pm.On December 24, December 31, and January 5, it is open from 10 am to 2 pm.

Last access is one hour before closing time. Hours are subject to change.
