Enjoy fabulous views of Cartagena and its port by going up to the Castillo de la Concepción in its panoramic lift. With this ticket, you can visit the fortress!
Description
Since the 13th century, the Castillo de la Concepción has witnessed the significance of this Mediterranean city. A medieval fortress, it defended Cartagena during the reign of Alfonso X and symbolizes the city's 18th-century history. The castle has been a fundamental bastion of Cartagena’s heritage.
The panoramic lift ascends 45 meters, offering views of Cartagena and its strategic port for the Spanish Navy. From the glass cabin, you can see important structures like the Roman amphitheater, the bullring, and the Hospital de Marina. At the top, you'll enter the fortress and the Interpretation Centre, where you can learn about the castle's historical significance and view preserved architectural elements.
