Castillo de la Concepción and Panoramic Lift

Description

Since the 13th century, the Castillo de la Concepción has been a significant site in Cartagena’s history. This medieval fortress, a symbol of 18th-century Cartagena, defended the city during the reign of Alfonso X. From the 45-meter high lift, you can view the strategic port and key buildings such as the Roman amphitheatre and the bullring. At the top, you will find the Interpretation Centre showcasing the castle’s historical heritage, including old cisterns and architectural elements.

Panoramic Lift Ticket

If you do not wish to visit the interior of the castle or the Interpretation Centre, you can purchase a ticket for just the panoramic lift. The lift is accessed from Gisbert Street, allowing you to enjoy views of Cartagena and its main monuments.

Los Viajes de Leonardo Exhibition

Until October 5, the castle will feature the temporary exhibition of Los Viajes de Leonardo, showcasing over one hundred inventions and replicas of paintings that highlight Da Vinci's genius. A unique rate applies to all visitors until this date.

Final admission is one hour before closing time.

Reduced Ticket

Reduced rates are available for students under 25, those with a youth card, unemployed individuals, retirees, disabled persons, and large families, upon presenting appropriate identification.
