Castillo de la Concepción and Panoramic Lift

Description

The Castillo de la Concepción, built in the 13th century, has been a significant historical site in Cartagena. This medieval fortress defended the city during the reign of Alfonso X the Wise and serves as a symbol of the city's 18th-century history.

The 45-meter high panoramic lift offers views of Cartagena and its strategically important port for the Spanish Navy. At the top, visitors can see major landmarks such as the Roman amphitheatre and the bullring. Inside the fortress, the Interpretation Centre provides insights into its historical heritage and features preserved architectural elements.

Panoramic Lift Ticket

For those not wishing to visit the fortress, a ticket for the panoramic lift is available, providing access to the viewpoint from Gisbert Street.

Los Viajes de Leonardo Exhibition

Until October 5, the castle will host the temporary exhibition Los Viajes de Leonardo, featuring over one hundred inventions and replicas of Da Vinci's works. A unified rate will apply for all visitors until the exhibition closes.

Final admission is one hour before closing time.

Reduced Ticket

Reduced rates are available for students under 25, youth card holders, unemployed individuals, retirees, disabled persons, and large families with proper identification.
