Day Trip to Playa Blanca

Your adventure begins with a pickup from your hotel or designated meeting point in Cartagena de Indias, followed by a scenic journey to Baru Island, home to the stunning Playa Blanca.

During our trip, you will experience a panoramic sightseeing tour along Cartagena’s coast, where you can take in the breathtaking views of the city’s bay and explore the vibrant neighbourhoods lining the shoreline.

Upon crossing a bridge constructed in 2014, we will arrive at the island of Baru. This picturesque peninsula is distinguished from the mainland by a vast canal established in the 16th century, a feature that has led locals to regard it as an island.

We will navigate through Baru to reach Playa Blanca, recognized as one of the island's highlights. Here, you will have 4 hours of free time to soak up the sun on the golden sands, dip into the refreshing Caribbean sea, and stroll along the beach—creating the ideal day of relaxation!

At noon, we will savor a traditional meal featuring coconut rice, patacones, salad, and fish (or chicken) at a local eatery. Afterward, feel free to unwind by the shore again or take an hour to discover more of Playa Blanca at your own pace.

This enriching 7-hour experience will conclude with our return to the starting point in Cartagena.
