Description

This ticket grants access to one of the most significant archaeological sites in Cartagena. The complex includes the Temple of Isis, the thermal baths of the Port, and the Atrium, where banquets in honor of the goddess Isis were held. These buildings are situated along the main axis of the Roman city, known as the decumanus.

Visitors will explore the ancient roads of Carthago Nova and its decorative walls, delving into the daily life of Roman citizens centered around worship and banquets. Additionally, the museum presents the history of Cerro del Molinete through various artifacts and Roman relics. The site, which received the National Prize for the Restoration & Conservation of Cultural Heritage in 2012, has undergone restructuring to enhance the visitor experience with the new Molinete Roman Forum Museum.

The archaeological complex operates under the following schedule:

July 1 to September 15: Monday to Sunday: 10 am to 8 pmMarch 15 to June 30 & September 16 to November 1: Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am to 7 pmNovember 2 to March 14: Tuesday to Sunday: 10 am to 5:30 pm

Last access is one hour before closing. The museum is closed on January 1 and 6, and December 25; it has afternoon closures on January 5, December 24, and 31. Hours are subject to change.

Reduced fare

Reduced fares are available for students under 25, Youth Card holders, unemployed, retirees, disabled individuals, and large families. Valid ID must be presented at entry.

Visitors may purchase a ticket that includes an audio guide or a tablet with a virtual reality app, featuring commentary in English and 360-degree views of the site along with reenactments of Roman life.
