Tour Details

We'll pick you up at your hotel in Cartagena de Indias and board a minibus to Santa Marta, a historic town in Magdalena. En route, we'll make a stop for breakfast, consisting of a sandwich with a glass of orange juice or coffee. After a 4-hour drive, we will arrive in Santa Marta, known as the 'Pearl of America'.

The first stop will be the Quinta San Pedro Alejandrino hacienda, where Simon Bolivar died. Next, we'll visit the statue of Pibe Valderrama and then proceed to the viewpoint of Taganga for panoramic views of Samaria Bay.

We’ll continue to the bay of Santa Marta to learn about the city’s history, followed by a visit to the historic centre, including Parque de los Novios Park and the cathedral, the oldest in South America. We will also see Plaza Bolivar Square and walk through colonial streets.

Next, we'll explore the Gold Museum in Casa de la Aduana, showcasing the cultural heritage of the region. Afterward, we'll have a typical lunch at a local restaurant followed by 2 hours of free time at the quiet beaches of Bello Horizonte.

Finally, we will return to Santa Marta and finish the experience at your hotel after 18 hours of sightseeing.
