6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's most charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh.

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

At 12 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca, or at the city's airport. We will visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore the Casablanca Medina, souq, and Corniche before heading to Rabat for the night.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we'll tour Rabat, including the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and Kasbah of the Udayas. We will then visit Meknes, exploring its souqs and sites before heading to the ruins of Volubilis. The day ends in Fez.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we'll explore Fez, visiting the Marinid Tombs, Jewish Quarter Mellah, and Arms Museum. A tour of the vibrant Medina will follow, before resting at the hotel.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

After breakfast, we'll travel through the cedar forests of Azrou and Ziz Valley, visiting Midelt and Erfoud. We'll conclude the day with a camel ride in the Merzouga desert and stay in haimas.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

We'll start with a sunrise view over the desert, followed by breakfast. The tour continues through the Todgha Gorges, ending in the Dades Valley for the night.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we'll drive along the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate and visit Ait-Ben-Haddou. We will cross the Atlas mountains and arrive in Marrakesh at 6:30 pm.

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca with pickup options at the airport or your accommodation. It ends in Marrakesh, where you can choose to stay in the city or be taken to the airport.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovation works. The Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is also closed. However, you can take photos from the outside.
