6-Day Tour of Morocco's Imperial Cities & Merzouga Desert

In Casablanca and looking to explore Morocco's most charming spots? On this 6-day tour of the Imperial Cities of Morocco and Merzouga, we'll visit Meknes, Rabat, Fez, Volubilis, and the desert, before ending our route in Marrakesh.

Tour Details

Day 1: Casablanca – Rabat

At 12 pm, we'll pick you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca, or at the city's airport. In Casablanca, we'll visit the Hassan II Mosque and explore the Casablanca Medina. After that, we will head to Rabat for an overnight stay.

Day 2: Rabat – Meknes – Volubilis – Fez

After breakfast, we will tour Morocco's capital, visiting the Royal Palace, Mausoleum of Mohammed V, and the Kasbah of the Udayas. We will then travel to Meknes and explore its souqs and landmarks, followed by a visit to the ruins of Volubilis. We will conclude the day in Fez.

Day 3: Fez

After breakfast, we will explore Fez, visiting the Marinid Tombs, the Jewish Quarter Mellah, and the Arms Museum. We will also stroll through the vibrant Medina before returning to the hotel.

Day 4: Fez – Azrou – Midelt – Erfoud – Merzouga

We will begin our trip through the cedar forests of Azrou and the Ziz Valley, crossing unique villages. Before nightfall, we'll have a camel ride in the Merzouga desert and spend the night in traditional haimas.

Day 5: Merzouga – Todgha Gorges & Dades Valley

After watching the sunrise over the Merzouga desert and having breakfast, we will travel across the Todgha Gorges and arrive at the hotel in the Dades Valley.

Day 6: Dades Valley – Ouarzazate – Marrakesh

After breakfast, we will drive down the Road of the 1000 Kasbahs to Ouarzazate and visit Ait-Ben-Haddou. Finally, we will cross the Atlas mountains and reach Marrakesh at 6:30 pm.

This tour includes 5 nights of accommodation with breakfast in double rooms:

On day four, we will spend the night in haimas camping in Merzouga. The standard and premium haimas have different capacities and amenities.

Pickup & End Points

This tour begins in Casablanca. You can choose your pickup point during the booking process. The tour ends in Marrakesh, with options for airport transfer or city stay.

Itinerary Adjustments

Meknes is currently closed due to renovation works, affecting our visit. The Taourirt Kasbah in Ouarzazate is also closed, but you can take photos from the outside.
