Calling all cheese lovers! Come on a guided tour of the Doña Francisca cheese factory, discover the production processes of artisanal cheeses and even try them for yourself!

Cheese Factory Tour & Tasting

We'll meet at 11 am at the main entrance to the Doña Francisca cheese factory, before setting off on our tour to learn all about the production processes that occur here. We'll explore the milk rooms as well as the maturation and shipping areas.

The Doña Francisca factory produces artisanal cheeses such as the famous Torta del Casa, which has the DOP (Protected Designation of Origin) stamp. We'll discover the origin of this delicacy, a symbol of the province of Caceres. The Torta "Virgen del Prado", recently named the third-best cheese in the world, is also made here!

After the tour, we'll head to the tasting room. Are you ready to taste 10 different kinds of cheese? We'll learn to distinguish their different tastes, aromas, and textures. The cheese tasting will be accompanied by a glass of wine from the region (or mineral water, if preferred).

The activity will end at 12:30 pm.
