Sintra-Cascais Natural Park Trek
After meeting at the Cascais train station, we'll take a minibus to the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park. The trek will last approximately two hours.
On the 5 kilometre hike, we'll explore a forest filled with oak, maple, and eucalyptus trees, along with various other species. You might spot a falcon or eagle, as this area is home to many birds of prey.
After the trek, we will return by minibus to visit charming towns like Zambujeiro and Murches. These small agricultural villages primarily focus on vine harvesting for regional wine production. There will be time for a coffee break amidst beautiful surroundings.
Our next stop will be the Cresmina Dune, part of the UNESCO-protected Cultural Landscape of Sintra, offering exceptional sea views near the Cabo Raso lighthouse, operational since the late 19th century. The bus will also provide views of Guincho beach, popular with surfers.
After a peaceful morning, we'll conclude our tour at the Cascais train station around 1:30 pm.
