Tour of Cascais, Cabo da Roca & Boca do Inferno

Since the late 19th century, Cascais has attracted artists, kings, and aristocrats with its palaces, beaches, and scenic views. The tour begins at the train station in Cascais at 10 am, where participants board a minibus heading to the Santuario da Peninha.

This site features an 18th-century chapel and a palace from the early 20th century, offering excellent views of the coast and the Sintra-Cascais Natural Park.

Next, the tour proceeds to Cabo da Roca, with cliffs rising 459 feet (140 metres) above the ocean, recognized as the most western point of mainland Europe. There will be time for photos by the lighthouse, the third oldest in Portugal, before returning to Cascais via the Cresmina Dune for coffee and photo opportunities.

As the journey continues, there will be views of Praia do Guincho beach, known for its surfing. The penultimate stop is Boca do Inferno, a cave in cliffs where locals believe the sounds of the underworld can be heard.

The final part of the tour will take participants to the historical centre of Cascais for about an hour, allowing exploration of its charming streets and buildings. The tour concludes at the train station around 3 pm.
