This remarkable site dates back approximately 4,000 years and features a collection of ancient structures: a prominent mud building (the oldest), a stone construction, and two additional structures flanking the central one, along with a lithic gallery. In this gallery, you'll discover a striking mural that displays over 300 detailed iconographic carvings.
As we progress through the site, we'll examine the intricate designs of the carvings, which depict various emotional states such as ecstasy, joy, and suffering. Additionally, you will observe an allegory that illustrates the pride of conquerors and the tragic fate of the defeated. Curious about the techniques used to create these masterpieces? We'll provide you with fascinating insights during the tour!
Next, we will proceed to the Max Uhle Regional Museum in Casma, which features an impressive array of archaeological artifacts uncovered at Cerro Sechín.
