Options
When you make your reservation you can choose one of the following tours. In both cases, the pickup at 8 am at your hotel in Casma, transportation, an English-speaking guide, entrance fees, and the return transfer are all included.
Chankillo & Cerro Sechín Tour (7 hours)
If you choose this option, we'll first visit the archaeological site of Chankillo, which features the Thirteen Towers, recognized as the oldest astronomical complex in America and included in the list of World Heritage Sites in July 2021. We will also explore the ancient fortified temple of Chankillo, believed to have been constructed between 257 and 201 B.C. After learning about its history, we'll have an hour for lunch at a local restaurant.
Post-lunch, we will visit Cerro Sechín to examine its 4,000-year-old archaeological complex, including various lithographic engravings, and tour the Max Uhle Museum, which displays artifacts found at the site.
Chankillo, Cerro Sechín & Las Aldas Tour (8 hours)
This tour follows the same itinerary as the previous one, excluding the visit to the carob forest of Chankillo. After Cerro Sechín and the Max Uhle Museum, we will proceed to the coast to visit the archaeological site of Las Aldas, where we will learn about its origins as a ceremonial, administrative, and scientific center dating from 1925 to 1410 BC.
