Puerto Casma, Comandante Noel & Playa Tortugas Tour

At the indicated time, we'll depart from your hotel in Casma towards Puerto Casma, located 10 minutes from the city.

Upon arrival at this town on the Peruvian coast, we will explore its strategic importance, having served as a significant port during the Spanish colonial period and suffered pirate raids in the early 17th century.

During the 19th century, Puerto Casma was also notable for the tragedy of the frigate Mercedes. We will discuss the events related to marine commander Juan Noel Lastra and his significant contributions.

After touring Puerto Casma, we'll proceed to the Comandante Noel viewpoint to learn more about this sailor's history while enjoying panoramic views of the area.

The next stop will be Playa Tortugas, known for its picturesque fishermen's cove where local fishermen catch octopus, squid, and snails, while also highlighting the region's rich marine resources. We'll explore typical recipes, particularly focusing on fresh fish dishes.
