Combine nature and sport on our Calanques National Park Hike, exploring the Côte d'Azur's stunning coves.
Calanques National Park Hike
The hike begins at the scheduled time on Avenue des Calanques in Cassis, leading into the eastern part of Calanques National Park.
Experience the coves and limestone mountains shaped over 120 million years. A calanque refers to a valley once excavated by a river and later flooded by the sea 12,000 years ago, creating a spot surrounded by rocky peaks.
We will walk along the Cassis coastline to visit the calanques, starting with Port-Miou. This calanque, stretching 1.5 kilometers, resembles a fjord and leads to the mainland. Discussions will cover the marina, an old quarry, and the underground river in the area.
Continuing the hike, we will reach Port-Pin before ascending to the Calanque d'En-Vau viewpoint, situated at nearly 120 metres. Enjoy breathtaking views of Calanques National Park from this vantage point.
The tour includes several stops, allowing for a swim break, before concluding the hike back at the starting point.
