Papal Palace & Secret Garden Ticket
At the indicated time, you'll be able to enter the Castel Gandolfo Palace in Piazza della Libertà with your ticket. You'll visit the Pope's historic summer residence.
The complex became a museum by Pope Francis's decision, allowing public access. The ticket includes access to the Secret Garden and the Papal Palace, where you will see various rooms, including the throne room, the hall of the Swiss guard, the astronomical observatory, and the gallery of Benedict XIV. You will also view the balcony where the Popes prayed the Angelus every Sunday in summer.
The visit lasts one hour and does not include a guide or audio guide.
Castel Gandolfo Pontifical Villas Tour
This option includes a more comprehensive visit. We will meet in Piazza della Libertà and drive through the extensive gardens of the papal villas, covering 55 hectares (135 acres).
You will see the remains of the Roman villa of Emperor Domitian and learn facts about the Popes using an English audio guide. Stops include important sites such as the Villa Barberini, the Garden of the Moor, and the Villa Cybo. The tour includes insights about the vegetation, fountains, and sculptures.
The tour also lasts one hour, concluding at the starting point.
