Papal Palace & Secret Garden Ticket
At the indicated time, you'll be able to enter the Castel Gandolfo Palace in Piazza della Libertà. This includes access to the Secret Garden and the Apostolic Palace, where you will visit the throne room, the hall of the Swiss guard, the astronomical observatory, and the gallery of Benedict XIV. You will also see the balcony from where the Popes prayed the Angelus every Sunday in summer. The visit lasts one hour and does not include a guide or an audio guide.
Castel Gandolfo Pontifical Villas Tour
For a more complete visit, meet in Piazza della Libertà to get into a vehicle for a drive through the extensive gardens of the papal villas, covering 55 hectares (135 acres). You will learn about the Roman villa of Emperor Domitian with an English audio guide. Several stops will be made at areas of historical and artistic interest such as the Villa Barberini, the Garden of the Moor, and Villa Cybo, while you admire the vegetation and sculptures. The tour also lasts one hour and will return to the starting point.
