If you're in Castellón de la Plana, join us to discover the history of its best monuments on this free walking tour of its historic centre.

Description

At the indicated time, we'll meet at Plaza de la Independencia, home to Parque Ribalta Park and modernist houses. Ready to embark on a free tour of Castellón de la Plana?

We'll explore the city's heart, visiting Plaza de Tetuán, where we will see the Post Office building. Inaugurated in 1932, it features a mix of neo-Mudejar and Valencian modernism.

Next, we'll walk along Avenida del Rey Jaume I and pass through Plaza Huertos Sogueros, which has the statue of Les Cordeliers by Joan Ripollés.

We'll also visit Puerta del Sol, flanked by early 20th-century modernist buildings, including Hotel Suizo, Casino Antiguo, and Banco de Castelló.

The tour continues in Plaza Santa Clara, dedicated to leisure and gastronomy. Adjacent is Castellón's Plaza Mayor, where we'll see the Town Hall, Central Market of Castellón, and the façade of Castellón Co-Cathedral. This example of Valencian Gothic architecture features elements from various styles, including its bell tower, El Fadrí, a symbol of Castellón.

After 2 hours, we'll conclude the tour.
