Maestrazgo Mining Park & Culla Tour

We'll meet in front of the Castellón Tourist Office at 9:10 am and board a minibus to Upper Maestrazgo. The Maestrazgo Mining Park is a key attraction in this area.

A mining train will take us to the Victoria Mine. After putting on safety helmets, we'll explore this underground site to learn about the work of miners from the past. Questions regarding the extraction methods and miner safety will be addressed during the tour.

You'll see several mining tools, original carts, and explanatory panels to provide context on life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.

Returning to ground level, we'll proceed to the Esperanza Mine, where the focus will be on natural cave conditions, geological phenomena, shafts, and ancient stalactites.

Next, we'll travel by minibus to Culla, characterized by its medieval atmosphere and Templar heritage. The tour will cover the town's ties to the Order of the Temple as we pass the 11th-century castle, the Commander's granary, and the old hospital.

Finally, we will return to Castellón de la Plana, expected around 1:50 pm.
