Maestrazgo Mining Park & Culla Tour

We'll meet in front of the Castellón Tourist Office at 9:10 am and board a minibus to Upper Maestrazgo. The Maestrazgo Mining Park is one of the main attractions in this area.

A mining train will take us to the entrance of the Victoria Mine. With safety helmets on, we will enter the mine to explore the work of miners from hundreds of years ago. We will uncover details about their methods and the minerals extracted.

You will see several mining tools, original carts, and information panels that illustrate daily life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.

Afterward, we'll return to the train and head to the Esperanza Mine, where we will examine the natural conditions of the caves, geological phenomena, shafts, and ancient stalactites.

We will then take a minibus to Culla, a medieval town with Templar roots. We will explore the town's connection to the Order of the Temple, including the 11th-century castle, the Commander's granary, and the old hospital.

Finally, we will return to Castellón de la Plana, arriving around 1:50 pm.
