Maestrazgo Mining Park & Culla Tour

We'll meet in front of the Castellón Tourist Office at 9:10 am and board a minibus bound for Upper Maestrazgo. The Maestrazgo Mining Park is located in this region.

A mining train will take us to the entrance of the Victoria Mine. With safety helmets on, we'll enter this underground cavity to discover the work of miners from hundreds of years ago. We will discuss their working conditions and the minerals extracted.

You will also see several mining tools, original carts, and explanatory panels to understand daily life in the Maestrazgo Mining Park.

After returning to ground level, we'll head to the Esperanza Mine. In this underground cavern, we'll focus on the natural conditions, geological phenomena, shafts, and centuries-old stalactites.

Next, we'll take a minibus to Culla, a town with Templar roots. We'll explore the town's connection with the Order of the Temple, passing by the 11th-century castle, the Commander's granary, and the old hospital.

Finally, we'll return to Castellón de la Plana, arriving around 1:50 pm.
