Morella Day Trip

We will meet at the Tourist Office of Castellón de la Plana at the specified time and head toward Morella, the capital of the Els Ports region. After a scenic drive of an hour and a half, we will arrive in this picturesque town.

Our first stop is the iconic castle of Morella, situated on a prominent rock. Following this, a guided tour of the old town begins, entering through the towers of San Miguel. We will pass significant landmarks including the 14th-century Town Hall and elegant manor houses. A visit to a local honey shop will also be included for those interested in purchasing this traditional product.

Next, we will tour the Archpriestly Basilica of Santa Maria, showcasing Valencian Gothic and Renaissance architecture. Inside, highlights include the Churrigueresque-style High Altar and the decorative choir staircase.

After the basilica visit, you'll have 2 hours of free time to have lunch and explore Morella’s picturesque streets at your own pace. We will then regroup and return to the original meeting point in Castellón, completing this 10-hour day trip.
