San José Caves Tour

Tour Details

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the Tourist Office in Castellón and head south to the town of Vall de Uxó.

In Vall de Uxó, at the foot of the Sierra de Espadán Natural Park, we will begin a guided tour of the San José Caves. These caves maintain a constant temperature of 20ºC (68ºF) year-round. We will explore the caves on foot for 255 metres (835 feet).

We will then take a boat on the largest underground river in Europe. As we navigate the 800-metre (2625-foot) stretch of water, we will observe the cave wall geology and receive informative commentary about the caves.

After visiting the caves, we will proceed to the Calzados Segarra museum-shop, the oldest shoe company in Spain, established in 1882.

Finally, we will return to the meeting point in Castellón after a total duration of 5 hours.
