Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

We'll meet outside the Castellón de la Plana Tourist Office in Plaza de la Hierba. After gathering, we will take a bus to Traiguera.

In Traiguera, we will visit a farm with thousand-year-old olive trees, including the winner of the award for the best monumental olive tree in Spain. We will learn about local olive oil production and participate in an olive oil tasting with typical cold meats.

Next, we will drive to Cervera del Maestre and visit the Oil Mill Visitor Centre dating back to the Medieval period.

After the visit, we will tour the town, walking through its cobbled streets and observing its notable buildings. We will view the exterior of the medieval castle, which offers views of the Maestrazgo region.

Our final stop will return us to Traiguera at the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, designated as an Asset of Cultural Interest since the 14th century, featuring a blend of Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque architectural elements. We will see the old pilgrim's hospice, the sanctuary's frescoes, the palace, and the priests' house.

The day trip concludes between 2:30 pm and 3 pm back at our starting point.
