Traiguera & Cervera del Maestre Day Trip

We'll meet outside the Castellón de la Plana Tourist Office in the Plaza de la Hierba. After gathering, we'll board a bus to Traiguera.

In Traiguera, we will visit a farm featuring numerous thousand-year-old olive trees, including one awarded as the best monumental olive tree in Spain. We will learn about the local production of olive oil and participate in an olive oil tasting with typical cold meats.

Next, we will travel to Cervera del Maestre to explore traditions related to olive groves at the Oil Mill Visitor Centre, dating back to the Medieval period.

Following this visit, we will tour the town,walking through its cobbled streets and viewing its historic buildings, including the medieval castle, which offers views of the Maestrazgo region.

We will return to Traiguera to visit the Royal Sanctuary Virgen Fuente de la Salud, an Asset of Cultural Interest. This 14th-century complex features Gothic, Renaissance, and Baroque elements, including the old pilgrim's hospice and decorative frescoes.

The day trip will conclude between 2:30 pm and 3 pm at our starting point.
