Mount Etna Day Trip

On this day trip to Mount Etna from Taormina, participants will explore one of Europe's notable volcanoes, visiting two craters and local flora.

Day Trip Details

At the scheduled time, pickup will occur from the meeting point in Taormina for transportation by minibus to Etna National Park. An overview of the historical, geological, and volcanological aspects of Mount Etna will be provided, along with insights into local vegetation, such as citrus orchards, vineyards, chestnut groves, and pine forests.

After approximately 1.5 hours of travel, the group will reach an altitude of 1,900 m (6,233 ft). Participants will have 2.5 hours to explore the area independently. An option to book an additional tour for a higher ascent to 2,750 m (9,022 ft) is available during this free time.

After regrouping, there will be a stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch at your own expense before concluding the day trip at the meeting point after 8 hours.
