Mount Etna Day Trip

On this day trip to Mount Etna from Taormina, you will discover one of Europe's famous volcanoes, visiting two of its craters along with local fauna and flora.

Day Trip Details

At the specified time, we will pick you up from the meeting point in Taormina and travel by minibus to Etna National Park. This area in Sicily is notable for exploration.

During the trip, a historical, geological, and volcanological overview of Mount Etna will be provided, highlighting various types of vegetation such as citrus orchards, vineyards, chestnut groves, and pine forests.

After about an hour and a half drive, we will reach an altitude of 1,900 m (6,233 ft), where you will have 2.5 hours to explore the surroundings at your own pace. For those interested in higher elevations, an additional tour can be booked to reach 2,750 m (9,022 ft) during your free time.

We will regroup and make a stop at a nearby restaurant for lunch on your own before concluding the trip at the meeting point after 8 hours.
