Castelo Branco Tour

At the scheduled time we'll meet on Avenida Nuno Álvares to start this guided tour of Castelo Branco. We will explore the capital of the Beira Baixa region.

During the tour, we will journey back to the Middle Ages to learn about the history of Castelo Branco. We will admire the ruins of the city walls from the outside and the Castle of Castelo Branco, and learn about the Knights Templars.

We will stroll through the City Park and discover the reasons behind Castelo Branco being recognized as a notable town. We will also view the façades of key monuments such as the Clock Tower and the Cathedral, which features Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque styles.

We will discuss the city's evolution, viewing 16th-century houses and the town's traditional activities, including the quilts of Castelo Branco.

After an hour and a half, we will conclude this walking tour by returning to the starting point.
