Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet at Avenida Nuno Álvares to start this walking tour of museums in Castelo Branco. During the tour, we'll explore the history and main monuments of this Portuguese city.
Strolling through the capital of the ancient region of Beira Baixa, we'll see the remaining Templar walls, the façades of the Igreja da Misericórdia (Church of Mercy), the Cathedral, and manor houses belonging to historically relevant families.
Afterward, we'll head to the Castelo Branco embroidery interpretation center, where we'll learn about a traditional activity of this town.
We'll then stroll through Parque Da Cidade and enter the Jardim do Paço, noted for its Baroque art, featuring fountains and sculptures.
Finally, after 3.5 hours of sightseeing, we'll finish the tour of Castelo Branco at the starting point.
