Enjoy the natural landscapes of the Basilicata region on this electric bike tour. You'll explore Pollino National Park and the Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, two unique places surrounding Castelsaraceno!

Basilicata Parks Bike Tour

At 8:30 am, we'll meet at Piazza Piano della Corte in Castelsaraceno. There, we'll begin a 40-kilometer bike ride (25 miles) through nature. We'll ride on a mix of asphalt and dirt paths while enjoying the lush green forests.

As we cycle through Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, we'll admire landscapes rich in local flora and learn about the wildlife, including famous residents like wild boars and wolves.

We'll also see Mount Raparo, which rises to 1761 meters above sea level (over 5700 feet).

The tour continues through Pollino National Park, the last Italian refuge of the Balkan pine, where we will see several specimens of these trees native to countries like Bulgaria, North Macedonia and Greece.

The tour will conclude at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
