Enjoy the natural landscapes of the Basilicata region on this electric bike tour. You'll explore Pollino National Park and Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, two unique places surrounding Castelsaraceno!

Basilicata Parks Bike Tour

At 8:30 am, we'll meet at Piazza Piano della Corte in the heart of Castelsaraceno. We'll start a 40-kilometer bike ride (25 miles) through nature.

Throughout the ride, we'll follow a mix of asphalt and dirt paths while taking in the lush green forests of the Basilicata region.

As we pedal through Appennino Lucano-Val d'Agri-Lagonegrese National Park, we'll admire landscapes full of local flora and learn about the wildlife, including wild boars and wolves.

We'll see Mount Raparo, which rises to 1761 meters above sea level (over 5700 feet).

The tour continues through Pollino National Park, known for being the last Italian refuge of the Balkan pine. We'll see several specimens of these trees found in countries like Bulgaria, North Macedonia, and Greece.

After enjoying a scenic cycling route, we'll finish the tour at 2:30 pm back at the starting point.
