Castillo de Garcimuñoz Castle Ticket

Castillo de Garcimuñoz Castle is a fortress located in Castillo de Garcimuñoz, at the top of a hill protecting the town from invaders. Its first owner was Garcimuñoz, a knight who accompanied King Alfonso VIII in his conquest of Cuenca in the 12th century. It later belonged to Prince Don Juan Manuel and was reconstructed in the 15th century by the Marquis of Villena. The castle reflects the harmonious coexistence of Arabic, Jewish, and Christian cultures in the province of Cuenca.

The castle's structure has been well-preserved, despite some interior deterioration. Visitors can explore the castle at their own leisure and learn about its history and secrets through an audio guide in English. Additionally, the castle offers views of stately homes, the Agustinos convent, and the San Juan Bautista church.
