Sechura Day Trip + Sandboarding

Description

After picking you up at your hotel in Piura at 9 am, we will head southwest to the city of Sechura, approximately an hour and a half away by minibus.

We will visit the city to see its notable places, including the Plaza de Armas and the San Martín de Tours church, established in 1770. This visit will include discussions on the history and architectural details of the church.

The next stop will be the mangroves of San Pedro de Vice, where we will observe migratory birds from distant regions such as Canada. An in-depth exploration of this estuary will accompany education on the identification of various wildlife.

Following this, we will visit Chulliyachi beach, where you will have an hour of free time for lunch and exploration. You will see the ruins of a ghost town, including a church and old mud houses that were once homes to local fishermen, abandoned due to material weaknesses and coastal erosion.

The excursion will conclude with a visit to Médano Blanco in the Sechura desert, where we will provide a sandboard for you to enjoy sliding down the dunes. The tour will end at 5:30 pm with drop-off at your hotel.
