Tour Details
At the appointed time, we'll meet in Piazza Duomo and set off to discover the wine and cultural heritage of Catania. The tour begins by visiting the Cathedral of Sant'Agata and the Fontana dell'Elefante.
Next, we'll visit the Pescheria, the old fish market of Catania, where we'll stop for our first tasting of a glass of wine paired with local delicacies like caponata, olives, cheese, or cold meats.
Afterward, we'll proceed to Castello Ursino to admire its exterior, followed by a visit to Piazza Mazzini to learn about its history and appreciate its noble buildings.
In the final part of the tour, we'll stop along via Crociferi for a second wine tasting with appetizers and a dessert. Participants will taste three wines: an Etna Bianco, an Etna Rosso, and a fortified sweet wine. The tour lasts 2.5 hours, concluding on via Crociferi after the tasting.
