Catania Night Tour

The Roman Amphitheatre, Castello Ursino...on this night tour of Catania, we'll admire one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily lit up after dark.

Tour Description

At the indicated time, we'll start this night tour of Catania from the central Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, where we'll admire the illumination of the iconic Teatro Massimo Bellini.

After learning about the history of this opera house, we'll stroll through the San Berillo neighbourhood, exploring its narrow streets, enhanced by moonlight. We'll also see various urban murals featuring colourful graffiti.

Next, we'll walk along Via Gemellaro to admire the illuminated façade of the Monte Sant'Agata bank. We'll continue along Via dei Crociferi, known for its Sicilian Baroque architectural gems.

Our next stop will be the Roman Amphitheatre of Catania, one of the largest in Sicily, followed by a visit to Castello Ursino, one of the few monuments that survived the earthquake of 1693.

Finally, after a 2.5-hour walking tour, we'll conclude our night tour of Catania at the Fish Market.
