Catania Night Tour

The Roman Amphitheatre, Castello Ursino...on this night tour of Catania, we'll admire one of the most beautiful cities in Sicily lit up after dark.

Tour Description

At the indicated time, we'll start this night tour of Catania from the central Piazza Vincenzo Bellini, where we'll admire the illumination of the iconic Teatro Massimo Bellini. After learning about the history of this opera house, we'll stroll through the San Berillo neighbourhood, exploring its narrow streets and urban murals adorned with colourful graffiti.

Next, we'll walk along Via Gemellaro to see the illuminated façade of the Monte Sant'Agata bank. We'll continue down Via dei Crociferi, known for its architectural gems of the Sicilian Baroque.

The next stop will be in front of the Roman Amphitheatre of Catania, one of the largest in Sicily, followed by Castello Ursino, notable for surviving the earthquake of 1693.

Finally, after a 2.5-hour walking tour, we'll conclude our night tour of Catania at the Fish Market.
