Activity Details

At 8:30 am, we'll meet at Piazza dei Martiri and depart in a 4x4 vehicle to explore Mount Etna. The travel time from Catania is under one hour.

During the first part of the excursion, we will visit one of Italy's famous volcanoes, walking along various trails to see inactive craters and learn how local flora and fauna have adapted to the volcanic environment. Your guide will share insights about the ideal conditions for wine cultivation on Etna and other key information about this natural park.

We'll then stop at a restaurant for a snack featuring various liquors, wines, honeys, and regional products.

Next, we will visit the Alcantara Gorge Natural Park. As we approach the river, we will discuss the formation of this volcanic landscape over millions of years. It's an impressive natural scene to experience.

The excursion concludes at 4:30 pm as we return to our starting point in Catania.
