Mount Etna & Alcantara Gorge 4x4 Tour

At 8:30 am, we will meet at Piazza dei Martiri and board a 4x4 vehicle to explore Mount Etna and Alcantara Gorge. The journey to Mount Etna takes less than an hour.

During the first part of the excursion, we will visit Mount Etna, one of the most famous volcanoes in Italy. You will walk along various trails, observe inactive craters, and learn about the flora and fauna adapted to the volcanic environment. The guide will discuss the slopes of Etna and their significance for wine cultivation and provide additional insights into the natural park.

Next, we will enjoy a snack featuring various liquors, wines, honeys, and regional products at a restaurant.

We will then proceed to Alcantara Gorge Natural Park to admire the impressive rocky walls along the river. The guide will explain the geological formation of this volcanic landscape, which dates back millions of years.

The excursion concludes at 4:30 pm with our return to the starting point in Catania.
