Description
At the indicated time we'll meet in front of the Church of San Nicolò, from where we'll start a tour all about Mount Etna. We'll remember its eruptions and see the repercussions they had on the city of Catania while we discover some notable places.
First, we'll enter the courtyard of the Benedictine monastery of Catania. This site was damaged by the eruption of 1669, which left remains like huge blocks of lava.

If you take the tour in the morning, we'll follow the course of the solidified lava flow to the A putia dell'Ostello hostel, highlighting a hidden jewel in its bar. For afternoon tours, we'll visit the Pozo di Gammazita, linked to the 1669 eruption and its legend.
