A nature reserve, a necropolis, and a picturesque village that preserves baroque architecture. Experience this on a day trip to Pantalica and Sortino.

Tour Description

At the designated time, we will pick you up from your hotel to commence the day trip to Pantalica and Sortino.

After approximately 1 hour of travel, we will reach the Pantalica Nature Reserve. This area is important for protecting Sicily's native flora and fauna and includes karst formations such as the Grotta dei Pipistrelli.

Within the reserve is the Necropolis of Pantalica, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO with around 5,000 tombs carved into the rock.

Next, we will head to the village of Sortino, where you will have free time for lunch and a guided walk through its narrow streets featuring baroque structures like the Chiesa madre di San Giovanni apostolo de evangelista and others.

Sortino also hosts various museums, including the Casa museo dell’apicoltura tradizionale and the Museo Civico dell'Opera dei Pupi.

After 1 hour and 30 minutes in Sortino, we will return to your hotel, completing an 8-hour trip.
