We'll begin this day excursion to Pantalica and Sortino by picking you up from your hotel at the scheduled time.

After about an hour of travel, our first stop is the breathtaking Pantalica Nature Reserve. This area, rich in biodiversity, serves to safeguard Sicily's native plant and animal life. Within its borders, you'll find stunning karst formations, including the renowned Grotta dei Pipistrelli (Bat Cave), where water has sculpted fascinating shapes over time.

Inside the reserve lies one of Europe's most significant burial grounds, the Pantalica Necropolis, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Picture this: there are approximately 5,000 graves carved into the stone!

Next, we will board the minibus and head towards the picturesque village of Sortino. Here, you’ll enjoy some leisure time for lunch. Afterwards, join us on a walk through the village’s narrow streets, lined with exquisite baroque architecture including the Chiesa madre di San Giovanni apostolo de evangelista, the Chiesa di Santa Sofia, and the Chiesa della Natività.

The town also features several museums, such as the Casa museo dell’apicoltura tradizionale, reflecting the rich heritage of honey production, and the Museo Civico dell'Opera dei Pupi, showcasing a traditional Sicilian puppet theater.

Following an engaging 90-minute exploration of Sortino, we will return to the minibus for our journey back to your hotel, completing our adventure in a total of 8 hours.
