The Godfather Tour

At the appointed time, you will be collected from your accommodation in Catania and board a minibus for an enriching exploration of the filming locations of The Godfather.

After approximately one hour on the road, we will reach the charming medieval village of Savoca, where a guided tour of the historic area awaits you. You'll visit the Church of St. Nicholas, the venue for Michael and Apollonia's wedding, and enjoy a stop at Bar Vitelli, where you can relax in the same seat once occupied by Al Pacino—remarkably unchanged for four decades!

As we wander through Savoca, a special viewpoint dedicated to director Francis Ford Coppola features a unique sculpture, offering breathtaking scenery with the Ionian Sea in the backdrop—an unforgettable vista!

Our journey continues to Forza d'Agrò. Upon arrival, we will meander through the historical center, appreciating landmarks such as the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Church of the Annunciation, both of which are featured in the subsequent chapters of The Godfather. This village notably served as the backdrop for Michael Corleone's hometown!

The tour will culminate in Taormina, where you’ll enjoy approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time for lunch. This is also a perfect opportunity to explore its stunning historic center, with attractions like Palazzo Corvaja, the Clock Tower, the Ancient Theatre, the Cathedral, and much more waiting for your discovery!

Your adventure will conclude with our return to your hotel, wrapping up after a total of 7 to 8 hours.
