The Godfather Tour
At the indicated time, we'll pick you up from your hotel in Catania and travel by minibus to discover the set locations from the filming of The Godfather.
After an hour's drive, we'll arrive in the medieval town of Savoca for a guided tour of the historic center. You'll see the Church of St. Nicholas, the site of Michael and Apollonia's wedding, and visit Bar Vitelli, where you can sit in the same chair as Al Pacino. The bar has remained largely unchanged.
During the Savoca tour, we will also visit a viewpoint honoring Francis Ford Coppola, featuring a sculpture with the Ionian Sea in the background.
Next, we'll visit the town of Forza d'Agrò, where we will walk through the historic center and see the Church of the Holy Trinity and the Church of the Annunciation, which appeared in the second and third installments of The Godfather. This town served as the origin of Michael Corleone's hometown.
Our final stop will be in Taormina, offering around 1 hour and 30 minutes of free time for lunch and exploring its historic center, including Palazzo Corvaja and the Ancient Theatre.
The tour will conclude upon our return to your hotel after a total duration of between 7 and 8 hours.
