Valley of the Temples & Scala dei Turchi Day Trip

Join us on this day trip to the Valley of the Temples and the Scala dei Turchi, where you'll visit archeological and natural sites in Sicily.

Day Trip Details

We will pick you up from your hotel in Catania to begin our day trip to the Valley of the Temples and Scala dei Turchi. During the minibus journey, information about the Valley of the Temples in Agrigento will be shared. You can explore this site at your own pace, which includes the Temple of Concordia, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

You can also see the remains of other temples dedicated to gods such as Juno, Hercules, Hephaestus, and Athena. Lunch will be at the bar at the Archeological Museum of Pietro Griffo, with a menu offering sandwiches, water, and wine.

Afterward, we will visit the Scala dei Turchi, known for its distinctive white rock formation rising from the Ionian Sea. Here, you will learn about the marl rock contributing to its color and the origin of its name, followed by free time to explore.

Finally, we will return to Catania, dropping you off at your hotel after this 9-9.5 hour trip.

Itinerary Order

The order of visits will be determined on the trip day, based on weather conditions and group preferences. A stop at the bar at the Archeological Museum of Pietro Griffo is guaranteed.

Children Under 3

Children under 3 must pay their own ticket if they occupy a seat on the minibus.

Low Season

During low season (November to March), the trip requires a minimum of 4 participants to proceed. If this number is not met, we will contact you for an alternative date.
