Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave Trip
Pickup is at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a journey of about one and a half hours to the Actun Tunichil Muknal Cave, a prominent Mayan archaeological site in Belize.
Inside the cave, you'll explore the Mayan beliefs about death and encounter human skeletons over a thousand years old, linked to sacrifices made to the god Chaac. During the tour, you'll see up to 14 sets of human remains and learn about their burial practices, including the history of the Crystal Maiden and the significance of pottery and clay in burials.
After this three-hour tour, lunch will be served with rice, beans, chicken, and fried plantain. The return to San Ignacio will conclude around 5 p.m., with drop-off at your accommodation.

Participants must be at least 1 meter (3.2 feet) tall and able to swim.
