Barton Creek Trip

Pickup will be at 9 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a 45-minute drive into the Belize wilderness. We will pass by ancient villages and the Barton Creek Mennonite farm to learn about their traditional way of life.

After crossing beautiful valleys, we will arrive at Barton Creek River. Here, we will canoe to Barton Creek Cave, known as the Mayan underworld. Inside this limestone grotto, participants will paddle through various areas to see crystallized formations and caverns reaching heights of 260 feet.

After the cave exploration, we will take a canoe back to the riverbank and enjoy a tasty lunch featuring rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain.
