Barton Creek Trip

Pickup is at 9 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio for a 45-minute drive into Belize's wilderness, passing by ancient villages and visiting the Barton Creek Mennonite farm to learn about traditional lifestyles.

After crossing scenic valleys, we reach the Barton Creek River. You will canoe to Barton Creek Cave, known as the Mayan underworld, and paddle through this limestone grotto, observing crystallized formations and caverns that rise to 260 feet high.

Once outside, we will return to the riverbank and enjoy a tasty lunch of rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain.

The trip concludes with a return to San Ignacio, where we will drop you off at your accommodation by 2 p.m.
