Barton Creek Trip

Your adventure begins with a pickup at 9 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio. You will travel for approximately 45 minutes through the stunning wilderness of Belize, passing by ancient villages and arriving at the delightful Barton Creek Mennonite farm to learn about traditional lifestyles.

As we navigate through serene valleys, we will reach the Barton Creek River. Here, you will embark on a canoe and set off towards the Barton Creek Cave, often referred to as the Mayan underworld. Inside this captivating limestone grotto, paddle through areas where you will encounter crystallized formations and caverns that soar to heights of 260 feet.

After exploring the cave, we will return to the river bank and disembark from the canoes. A delicious lunch will await you, featuring rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain.

Your journey concludes with a return trip to San Ignacio, where we will drop you off at your accommodation by 2 p.m.
