Barton Creek Trip
Pick up is at 9 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a 45-minute drive into the Belize wilderness. You will encounter ancient villages and the Barton Creek Mennonite farm, learning about traditional life.
After crossing valleys, you will reach the Barton Creek River, where you will canoe to Barton Creek Cave. This limestone grotto, associated with the Mayan underworld, features crystallized formations and caverns that rise up to 260 feet high.
After canoeing, you will enjoy a tasty lunch with rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain. Finally, you will return to San Ignacio to finish the activity by 2 p.m.
