Explore the Mayan underworld on this trip to Barton Creek. Enter a cave, canoe down the river, and visit a Mennonite farm.

Barton Creek Trip

Pick-up will be at 9 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio, followed by a 45-minute drive into the Belize wilderness. Encounter ancient villages and the Barton Creek Mennonite farm to learn about the traditional way of life.

Crossing valleys, we will reach the Barton Creek River, where we will canoe to Barton Creek Cave, known as the Mayan underworld. Navigate through the limestone grotto, viewing crystallized formations and caverns reaching heights of 260 feet.

After canoeing, we will disembark and enjoy a tasty lunch of rice, chicken, beans, and fried plantain.

We will return to San Ignacio and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the activity by 2 p.m.
