Caracol Trip
Pickup will be at 7 a.m. at your hotel, followed by a two-hour drive through the jungle, passing small Mayan villages. We will reach the archaeological site of Caracol.
We will explore the paths connecting various areas of Caracol and stop at the Temple of Caana, the tallest structure in Belize at almost 140 feet. During the tour, we will observe the lifestyle of the 180,000 inhabitants of the Mayan city.
Upon hiking towards Pine Ridge Mountain, we may encounter native species like the tapir. A picnic lunch of sandwiches, juice, and fruit will be served before we proceed to the Rio On Pools, featuring natural wells. We will also visit the Cold River Cave, which is approximately 65 feet deep.
After the tour, we will return to San Ignacio and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the excursion at approximately 5 p.m.
