Caracol Trip

Pickup is at 7 a.m. from your hotel, followed by a two-hour drive through the jungle, passing small Mayan villages. We will arrive at the archaeological site of Caracol.

We will walk the paths connecting different areas of Caracol, stopping at the Temple of Caana, which is nearly 140 feet high, the tallest in the country. During the tour, we will explore the lifestyle of the 180,000 inhabitants of the Mayan city.

As we hike towards Pine Ridge Mountain, we will encounter native species, including the tapir. A picnic lunch with sandwiches, juice, and fruit will be provided before visiting the Rio On Pools river. We will also see the Cold River Cave, which is 65 feet deep.

We will return to San Ignacio and drop you off at your accommodation by approximately 5 p.m.
