Caracol Trip

Pick-up starts at 7 a.m. from your hotel, followed by a two-hour drive through the jungle, passing by small Mayan villages. We will then arrive at the archaeological site of Caracol.

We will explore the paths connecting different areas of Caracol, with a stop at the Temple of Caana, the tallest structure in Belize at almost 140 feet. The tour covers the pre-Columbian remains, offering insight into the lifestyle of the 180,000 inhabitants.

During the hike towards Pine Ridge Mountain, you may encounter native species such as the tapir. A picnic lunch will be provided, featuring sandwiches, juice, and fruit before we head to the Rio On Pools, known for its natural wells. We will also visit Cold River Cave, which is 65 feet deep.

After the tour, we will return to San Ignacio and drop you off at your accommodation, concluding the excursion around 5 p.m.
