Your adventure begins with a hotel pickup in San Ignacio at 6 am, after which we head to Bats Landing. This location marks the start of our journey towards the northern lowlands of the country, an area characterized by its flat terrain.

Upon reaching the New River dock, we will embark on an engaging cruise through the mystical lagoon, delving into over 3000 years of rich Mayan heritage. As we navigate these waters, keep an eye out for the elusive boat-billed heron as well as fresh and saltwater crocodiles, river turtles, and the distant calls of Yucatan black howler monkeys echoing through the forests that cradled this ancient civilization.

Upon arrival at the archaeological site, a skilled guide will lead us, tailoring the experience to your interests. We will dedicate about 1.5 hours to examine the site before enjoying a refreshing lunch. After our meal, we will make our way back to the beautiful New River dock.
