Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America when you take this trip to Tikal. At this archaeological site, you will encounter the ruins of pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

We will pick you up at 7 a.m from your hotel in San Ignacio before driving across the border into Guatemala. After thirty minutes through the jungle, we will reach the citadel of Tikal.

We will walk among more than 3000 structures and uncover life for the pre-Columbian nobility. Tikal has been featured in films such as Star Wars and James Bond.

We will visit Central Park, home of the Pyramid of Guatemala, where religious sacrifices occurred, and ascend the Temple of the Masks, one of the most popular sites. We will also go up Temple IV, which is 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours exploring, we will have lunch at a local restaurant in Tikal, featuring soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, and vegetables and rice.

Following lunch, we will return to San Ignacio and drop you off at your accommodation by 4:30 pm.

Border crossing

When booking, you can select the option with pick-up at the border with Guatemala. The itinerary remains the same, with a meet-up at the border crossing at 7:30 am and completion at 4 pm at the same location.

Necessary documents

During the journey from San Ignacio, we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala. You will need to bring your passport.
