Tikal Trip

Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America when you take this trip to Tikal. At this archaeological site, you will find the ruins of pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

We will pick you up at 7 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio before driving across the border into Guatemala. After a thirty-minute drive through the jungle, we will arrive at the citadel of Tikal.

Experience one of the most significant Mayan sites in Central America. We will walk among over 3000 structures and explore life for the pre-Columbian nobility. Tikal has appeared in films such as Star Wars and James Bond.

We will visit Central Park, home to the Pyramid of Guatemala, and ascend the Temple of the Masks, one of the most visited sites in Tikal. We will also climb Temple IV, which stands 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours at the citadel, we'll eat lunch at a local restaurant in Tikal, which includes soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, vegetables, and rice.

Afterward, we will return to San Ignacio, completing the excursion at 4:30 p.m.

Border crossing

When booking, you can choose the option with pick-up at the border with Guatemala. The itinerary remains the same, but we will meet at the border crossing at 7:30 a.m. and finish at 4 p.m. at the same location.

Necessary documents

During the journey from San Ignacio, we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala. You are required to bring your passport.
