Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America during this trip to Tikal, an archaeological site featuring the ruins of pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

Pickup will be at 7 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio. We will drive across the border into Guatemala, traversing the jungle for thirty minutes to reach the citadel of Tikal.

This site includes over 3000 structures that reflect pre-Columbian nobility life. Tikal is recognizable from films like Star Wars and James Bond.

We will visit Central Park, home to the Pyramid of Guatemala, where religious sacrifices occurred. Additionally, we will ascend the Temple of the Masks and Temple IV, which stands 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours of exploration, lunch will be served at a local restaurant in Tikal, featuring soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, vegetables, and rice.

Post-lunch, we will return to San Ignacio, with the excursion concluding at 4:30 p.m.

When making a booking, you can opt for pickup at the border with Guatemala. The itinerary remains the same, with a meeting time of 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 4 p.m. at the same location.
