Tikal Trip

Discover one of the largest Mayan cities in Central America when you take this fantastic trip to Tikal. At this archeological site, you will encounter the ruins of beautiful pyramids and palaces.

Tikal Trip

We will pick you up at 7 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio and drive across the border into Guatemala. After a thirty-minute drive through the jungle, we will arrive at the citadel of Tikal.

Prepare to explore one of the most important Mayan sites in Central America. We will walk among more than 3000 structures and learn about life for the pre-Columbian nobility. You may recognize Tikal from films like Star Wars and James Bond.

Upon reaching Central Park, we will see the Pyramid of Guatemala, where religious sacrifices occurred, and ascend the Temple of the Masks, one of the most visited temples. We will also visit Temple IV, standing at 209 feet high.

After three and a half hours of exploration, we will enjoy lunch at a local restaurant in Tikal, which will include soup, a meat or vegetarian main course, vegetables, and rice.

Following lunch, we will return to San Ignacio and arrive back at your accommodation by 4:30 p.m.

Border crossing

When booking, you can select the option with pick-up at the border with Guatemala. The itinerary remains unchanged, meeting at the border at 7:30 a.m. and concluding at 4 p.m. at the same location.

As we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala, you must bring your passport.
