Join us on an adventure to the archaeological site of Yaxha, one of the significant ceremonial centers for the Mayan civilization featuring impressive temples and pyramids.

Yaxha Trip

We will pick you up at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio and head across the border into Guatemala. We will arrive at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, where we will encounter the ancient city of Yaxha.

We will explore important parts of this pre-Columbian city, including the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue, while learning about the traditions of the Mayan people and visiting the Twin Pyramid Complex.

For four hours, we will experience the lifestyle of the Yaxha Mayans, seeing the remains of the Temple of the Red Hands, the most visited part of the site. We will stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a delicious lunch consisting of a meat or vegetarian dish.

After lunch, we will return to San Ignacio, finishing the excursion at 4 p.m.

Sunset trip

When making your reservation, you can choose to experience Yaxhá at sunset. The itinerary remains the same, but we will pick you up at your hotel in San Ignacio at 11 a.m. and return at 7:30 p.m.
