Yaxha Trip

Join us on a fantastic adventure to the amazing archeological site of Yaxha. You will discover one of the most important ceremonial centers for the Mayan civilization and see magnificent temples and pyramids.

Yaxha Trip

We will pick you up at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio and head across the border into Guatemala. We will arrive at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, where we will encounter the ancient city of Yaxha.

We will visit the most important parts of this pre-Columbian city, such as the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue. We will also learn about the traditions of the Mayan people as we admire the Twin Pyramid Complex.

Then for four hours, we will relive the way of life of the Yaxha Mayans. Along the way, we will see the remains of the Temple of the Red Hands, the most visited part of the site. Later, we will stop at a local restaurant for lunch.

After enjoying a meat or vegetarian dish, we will return to San Ignacio. Once we arrive, we will accompany you to your accommodation, where the excursion finishes at 4 p.m.

Sunset trip

When you make the reservation, you can choose to make the excursion to Yaxhá at sunset. The itinerary will be the same, but we will pick you up at your hotel in San Ignacio at 11 a.m. and take you back at 7:30 p.m.

Necessary documents

During the trip, we will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala. Therefore, you are required to carry your passport.
