Join us on an adventure to the archaeological site of Yaxha, one of the key ceremonial centers of the Mayan civilization featuring significant temples and pyramids.
Yaxha Trip
You will be picked up at 8 a.m. from your hotel in San Ignacio and travel across the border to Guatemala. Upon arrival at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, you will explore the ancient city of Yaxha.
Visits will include the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue, with insights into Mayan traditions and the Twin Pyramid Complex. You will experience the Yaxha Mayan lifestyle for four hours, seeing the Temple of the Red Hands, a key site. A stop at a local restaurant will provide a lunch of either a meat or vegetarian dish.
After lunch, the return journey to San Ignacio will occur, concluding the excursion at 4 p.m. when you will be taken back to your accommodation.
Sunset trip
When making your reservation, you can opt for the sunset excursion to Yaxhá. The agenda remains the same; however, pick-up will be at 11 a.m., returning you to San Ignacio by 7:30 p.m.
Necessary documents
As you will cross the border between Belize and Guatemala during the trip, it is necessary to carry your passport.
