Join us on an adventure to the archeological site of Yaxha, one of the important ceremonial centers for the Mayan civilization, featuring significant temples and pyramids.

Yaxha Trip

We will pick you up at 8 a.m from your hotel in San Ignacio and travel across the border into Guatemala. Upon arrival at the lagoons of Yaxhá and Sacnab, we will explore the ancient city of Yaxha.

The tour includes visits to key parts of this pre-Columbian city, such as the Astronomical Complex and Pilgrims' Avenue. Participants will learn about the Mayan traditions while viewing the Twin Pyramid Complex.

For four hours, we will experience the lifestyle of the Yaxha Mayans, including the remains of the Temple of the Red Hands, a popular site. We will take a break at a local restaurant for lunch, which includes options for meat or vegetarian dishes.

After lunch, we will return to San Ignacio, with the excursion concluding at 4 p.m. upon your return to your accommodation.

When booking, you may opt for the excursion to Yaxhá at sunset. The itinerary remains the same; however, pickup will be at 11 a.m., and return will be at 7:30 p.m.
