Tour Details
At the indicated time, we'll meet at Calle Gómez Calderón to start this guided tour of Cazorla. We'll spend about an hour walking around this town before concluding the tour with an olive oil tasting.
The first part of the tour will cover the historical origins of Cazorla and the significance of the natural park surrounding the town. We will walk along the Cerezuelo Riverwalk to observe various species of birds, an old flour mill, and local flora like oak trees, yew trees, and fig trees.
We'll then visit the bóveda del río Cerezuelo, a 16th-century construction that helped channel the river, facilitating the town's expansion. We will also explore the ruins of the Church of Santa María de Gracia.
The tour includes an olive oil tasting lasting 80 to 90 minutes, where participants will learn to distinguish between categories of virgin olive oil through sensory games focusing on smell and taste.
After 2.5 hours, we'll conclude in the tasting room, located in the historic center of Cazorla.
