The Tagus International Natural Park is one of the attractions of Extremadura. On this boat ride, we will cross the border to Portugal and visit the town of Castelo Branco.
Tour Details
We'll meet at the Cedillo dock at the scheduled time, where a boat will take us through the Tagus International Natural Park. The Ponsul River will be our route for an hour, allowing us to appreciate the views of the surrounding Mediterranean forest, accompanied by crew commentary on the typical fauna of the region.
We will then cross the border with Portugal to reach the town of Lentiscais. From there, we will take a bus to Castelo Branco.
In this town, we will have between 5.5 and 6 hours of free time to explore its history associated with the Templars. Highlights include visiting the ruins of the fortress of Castelo Branco and its gardens. In summer, a visit to the Piscina Paria is also recommended.
After our visit, we will return by bus to the Lentiscais dock and take the boat back to Cedillo. The entire tour will last between 8 and 9 hours.
