The Tagus International Natural Park is located in Extremadura. This boat ride includes crossing into Portugal and visiting the town of Castelo Branco.
Tour Details
Participants will meet at the Cedillo dock at the scheduled time, where a boat will be ready to navigate through the Tagus International Natural Park. The journey lasts for one hour, sailing the Ponsul River while taking in views of the surrounding Mediterranean forest, accompanied by commentary from the crew about the local fauna.
As we follow the river, we will cross into Portugal and arrive at the town of Lentiscais. Upon disembarkation, a bus will transport the group to Castelo Branco, where participants will have 5.5 to 6 hours of free time to explore the area’s history linked to the Templars. Recommended sites include the ruins of the fortress of Castelo Branco and its picturesque gardens. In summer, the Piscina Paria is also accessible.
Following the visit, participants will return by bus to the Lentiscais dock and then take the boat back to Cedillo, concluding the activity after a total of 8 to 9 hours.
