The Tagus International Natural Park is a significant site in Extremadura. This boat ride includes crossing the border to Portugal and a visit to Castelo Branco.
Tour Details
We will meet at the scheduled time at the Cedillo dock, where a boat is ready to take us through the Tagus International Natural Park. Prepare to explore this lesser-known area of Extremadura.
For one hour, we will sail on the Ponsul River, accompanied by commentary from the crew about the local fauna and enjoying views of the surrounding Mediterranean forest.
As we navigate the river, we will cross into Portugal and arrive at the town of Lentiscais. After disembarking, we will take a bus to our next destination, Castelo Branco.
In this town, we'll have between 5.5 and 6 hours of free time to explore its historical connection to the Templars. It's recommended to visit the ruins of the fortress of Castelo Branco and its gardens. Additionally, if visiting in summer, you may explore the Piscina Paria.
After the visit, we will return by bus to the Lentiscais dock and head back to Cedillo by boat. The total duration of the activity will be between 8 and 9 hours.
