The Tagus International Natural Park is located in Extremadura, with a tour that includes a boat ride crossing into Portugal to visit Castelo Branco.
Tour Details
Participants will meet at the Cedillo dock at the designated time, where a boat will depart to navigate through the Tagus International Natural Park. The boat ride lasts for one hour, sailing along the Ponsul River while enjoying views of the surrounding Mediterranean forest and receiving commentary from the crew about the local fauna.
After the river journey, we will cross into Portugal and arrive at the town of Lentiscais. From there, a bus will transport us to Castelo Branco, where participants will have between 5.5 and 6 hours of free time. During this time, visitors can explore the town's history, including the ruins of the fortress of Castelo Branco and its picturesque gardens. If traveling in summer, a visit to the Piscina Paria is also an option.
After the visit, we will take a bus back to the Lentiscais dock and return to Cedillo by boat, concluding the tour after a total duration of between 8 and 9 hours.
