Tagus River Cruise

At the indicated time, we'll meet at the pier of Cedillo, a town located on the border between Spain and Portugal. It's the westernmost municipality of Extremadura.

There, we'll board a boat and commence a cruise through the waters of the Tagus River towards Herrera de Alcántara, known for its Roman bridge. The Tagus serves as the natural border between Spain and Portugal, dividing the Tagus International Natural Park. One side is managed by Extremadura and the other by Portugal.

During the cruise, the crew will share facts about the culture and history of the Spanish-Portuguese border. We will observe the park's diversity of flora and fauna and its natural environment. With luck, we may see endemic bird species such as the griffon vulture, the Egyptian vulture, the black stork, and the imperial eagle, which is endangered.

Before reaching Herrera de Alcántara, the boat will turn around, and we will continue to admire the scenery until we return to the departure point after a total of 2 hours.
