Etna and Taormina Day Trip

On this day trip to Mount Etna and Taormina, we'll travel from Cefalu for a day of Sicilian exploration. Visit the Greco-Roman Theatre and enjoy local cuisine.

Description

We'll pick you up at the meeting point in Cefalu at the indicated time and head to Etna, the most famous volcano in Sicily and one of the most active in the world. During the bus ascent, enjoy splendid views of the countryside.

We'll follow a route around the volcano's cone to admire its craters and vents, where grey vapour escapes. According to Greek mythology, the Forge of Hephaestus is located here.

After the Etna tour, you'll have free time to take the cable car and then a 4x4 to reach 3000 metres (9842 feet).

Then, we'll travel to Taormina, renowned for its Greco-Roman theatre. We'll take a guided tour of Taormina's centre, followed by additional free time.

During this time, you can visit the Taormina Theatre, enjoy Sicilian dishes, or go shopping.

Finally, we'll return to Cefalu and drop you off at your hotel 13 hours after the initial pickup.
