Etna and Taormina Day Trip

On this day trip to Mount Etna and Taormina, we'll travel from Cefalu to enjoy a day surrounded by Sicilian wonders. You can visit the Greco-Roman Theatre and try some local cuisine.

Description

We'll pick you up at the meeting point in Cefalu at the designated time and head to Etna, the most famous volcano in Sicily and one of the most active in the world. During the ascent by bus, you'll enjoy views of the surrounding countryside.

We'll follow a route around the volcano's cone to admire its craters and vents. You’ll also learn that the Forge of Hephaestus is said to be located here according to Greek mythology.

After the tour of Etna, we'll provide some free time so you can take the cable car and then a 4x4 to reach 3000 metres (9842 feet) for stunning views.

Next, we'll travel to Taormina, known for its Greco-Roman Theatre. A guided tour around the centre of Taormina will showcase the beauty of this Mediterranean town, followed by additional free time.

You will have the opportunity to visit the Taormina Theatre, try some Sicilian dishes, or go shopping.

Finally, we'll return to Cefalu and drop you off at your hotel 13 hours after the initial pickup.
